Mike Campbell 

Mike Campbell is CEO and founder of South Stone, LLC. South Stone, LLC is a distributor of tooling and supplies for the stone fabrication industry. Prior to founding South Stone, Mr. Campbell was an investor in and served as Chief Development Officer for Triton Stone Carolinas. In 2002, Campbell founded The Crescent Group, Incorporated, where he continues to serve as President and CEO, which is a business development consulting firm specializing in government and political relations. In 2007, Mr. Campbell was asked to serve as the South Carolina Chairman for Americans for Prosperity (AFP), a national government watchdog organization, which advocates for conservative public policies that champion the principles of entrepreneurship and fiscal and regulatory restraint. Prior to joining AFP, in 2006, Campbell won the three-way Republican primary for Lt. Governor of South Carolina on June 13, 2006. Prior to running for Lt. Governor, Campbell served as President and CEO of Palmetto International, LLC, which he founded in 2003. Palmetto International represented and secured international commerce projects for companies seeking to participate in the reconstruction efforts in Iraq. From 1995 to 2006 he was a co-owner of a successful chain of 19 Wendy’s fast food restaurants located throughout South Carolina. He has previously served on the corporate board of directors for two information technology companies RDS Solutions, Inc. and IBSS, Inc. Campbell is a past member of the board of directors for the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Committee and the Boy Scouts of America – Indian Waters Chapter. In addition, he is an active supporter of the South Carolina Alzheimer’s Association as well as various conservation organizations. Campbell has vast experience and knowledge in the political arena with service in various roles of campaigns, including those of his late father, Republican icon and former U.S. Congressman and Governor, Carroll A. Campbell, Jr.

Yuval Rabin

Yuval Rabin, until his recent return to Israel, has been a managing partner at the Washington based RSLB, (Rabin, Sheves, Lipkin-Shahak, and Birger), the first non-Americans to lobby the U.S. administration on behalf of foreign countries. Prior to RSLB, Rabin has held senior executive positions serving companies as diverse as AARP, The Principal Group, Visteon, Ericsson, Airbus Industries, Nokia, ARKLA (Arkansas Louisiana Gas), Samsung and the American Bureau of Shipping. Rabin has 30 years’ experience in the software industry, serving many multinational enterprises that deliver software solutions. He truly espouses a global vision, having led initiatives for manufacturing and service companies, utilities and governments in the U.S., Israel, Europe and the Far East. Rabin is a veteran of the Israel Defense Forces, having achieved the rank of major during his eight years of service. He brings on board deep business experience with governments, state and federal processes, and a remarkably extensive network and contacts around the globe, including Africa, Arab countries, and Eastern European countries. He has been the Chairman of Beyond Verbal Communication, Ltd since November 2011, and a Director of Infinity Augmented Reality, Inc. since May 30, 2013. Rabin is son of the late Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.

R. Paul Schaudies, Ph.D.

Dr. R. Paul Schaudies is the CEO and co-founder of GenArraytion, and an internationally recognized expert in biodefense, biotechnology and nanotechnology. He has served on over a dozen National Research Council committees as well as advisory committees for many US Government agencies.  Dr. Schaudies was the science advisor to the EPA On-Scene Coordinator, and Incident Commander of the 2001 anthrax incident in Washington, DC. As a US Army Officer, he supported the United Nations as an UNSCOM inspector in Iraq. Dr. Schaudies has over 30 years of experience as a corporate executive.   He was an AVP and Division Manager for Biological and Chemical Defense at Science Applications International Corporation for 9 years.  He spent 13 years as an active duty US Army officer and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the USAR. Dr. Schaudies was the Program Manager for Biological and Chemical Defense Research in the Central MASINT Office at the Defense Intelligence Agency, and a Senior Researcher at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research with over 25 peer reviewed scientific publications.

Kimothy Smith, Ph.D.

Kimothy Smith, Ph.D., is Chief Technology Advisor to PositiveID, consulting in the areas of biosurveillance, bioforensics, biodefense, biosecurity, molecular genetics and diagnostics, and food safety, defense and security. Recently he served as Director of The Global Resource Initiative, a nonprofit organization that focuses its efforts on bolstering the critical resource base of underserved countries and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. He was promoted to Senior Advisor for International Biodefense for the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Health Affairs and was detailed to the U.S. State Department Office of International Health and Biodefense. Prior to this he served as the Acting Director of the National Biosurveillance Integration Center. Smith was also the Department of Homeland Security’s first Chief Veterinarian and served as the Chief Scientist for the Office of Health Affairs. Smith began working for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in 2005 where he worked within the Science and Technology Directorate as the Chief of the Research Programs and Countermeasures Office, directing the intramural research program executed through the federal and National Laboratories. Prior to working with DHS, he was at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) where he served as the Deputy Division Leader for Operations in the Counter-terrorism and Incident Response Division of the Non-proliferation, Arms Control and International Security Directorate. Before accepting this appointment, Dr. Smith served as a Deputy Associate Program Leader for the Chemical and Biological National Security Program. He was actively engaged in research execution and program development in the areas of infectious disease ecology, developing molecular typing methods and the application of molecular epidemiological techniques to forensic investigations as an associate professor on the Northern Arizona University (NAU) faculty prior to going to LLNL. He has earned his PhD in molecular epidemiology from Louisiana State University where he curated the worldwide Bacillus anthraces collection.

Benedikt von Braunmühl

Benedikt von Braunmühl has more than 20 years of experience in multiple healthcare fields, such as pharmaceuticals, dental, vaccines as well as diagnostics & life science tools, including bioinformatics. He has built and led organizations for several companies in developed and emerging markets, including the U.S., Western and Eastern Europe, Brazil, Mexico, China, India, Middle East and Africa. Currently he is chairman of the board of directors of PathoQuest, a VC-backed spin-off of Institute Pasteur, which is focused on next generation molecular diagnostics approaches with a unique approach in infectious diseases diagnostics. In addition, he acts as advisor of the healthcare practice group at Clairfield International, an M&A advisory firm for global mid-market transactions with 39 offices in 23 countries. He also provides consultancy to healthcare companies and private equity firms in the healthcare environment, focused on strategic & business development, commercial excellence, market access, as well as geographic expansion and fundraising.  Prior to his advisory and consultancy engagements he was Head of Global Commercial Operations and member of the Executive Committee at QIAGEN, a leading molecular diagnostics and life science tools company. Before his appointment to the Executive Committee at QIAGEN, he ran the business in emerging markets, as well as in Italy. He joined QIAGEN as Head of Latin America. Before joining QIAGEN he held many commercial positions with growing responsibilities at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, Chiron, Metzler Securities, a German private owned investment bank, as well as ASTA Medica, an oncology, general medicine and OTC pharmaceutical company, based in Germany.  Von Braunmühl holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Lorange Institute of Business in Zurich, Switzerland.
